| Three common uses | |
|---|---|
| Commissioning | Caps unused ports at full rating |
| Pressure testing | Holds test pressure — same body & bolts as the weld-in flange |
| Future tie-ins | Open it up any time — replace the O-ring, connect the new line |
The blind flange stands out from the flange pack because it is designed with no hole in the centre. It closes a hydraulic port at the full pressure rating of its code — 3000 PSI in Code 61, 6000 PSI in Code 62 — using the same body, bolt pattern and O-ring as the weld-in flange at that size. Fit it during commissioning, during pressure testing, or to reserve a port for a future tie-in.
Blind flanges use the same SAE J518 bolt pattern as the weld-in flange — measure the long-side bolt centres to identify the size and code. All figures as printed in the catalogues.

A flange to SAE J518 / ISO 6162 made with no centre bore — it closes a hydraulic port permanently or temporarily: during commissioning, pressure testing, or to reserve capacity for future tie-ins.
Yes — the blind flange shares the body, bolt pattern and O-ring of the weld-in flange at the same size and code. The only difference is the absence of a bore.
Code 61 (3000 series, 3000 PSI) and Code 62 (6000 series, 6000 PSI), sizes 3/8″ to 5″ — following the SAE flange range in each code.
The same as the SAE flange at the same size & code — e.g. 2″ Code 61 M12 at 130 Nm, 2″ Code 62 M20 at 550 Nm. Full tables on the SAE flanges page.
Carbon steel as the default, or stainless SS316 for corrosive environments — the same as the SAE flange line.
Yes — in both codes with matching bolts and O-rings, in our regional warehouses in Singapore and Malaysia. Goods leave the warehouse within 24 hours of your PO, with the delivery schedule confirmed in the quotation.
