Dural is our exclusive tube and pipe brand: stainless steel tube to ASTM A213/A269, stainless steel pipe to ASTM A312, and hydraulic steel tube to DIN 2391 and DIN 2445.

Every length is marked along its own body — so what is on the paperwork is on the steel. And because Dural is exclusive to us, the same grade, standard and marking arrive on every re-order.

Overview

About the Dural brand

The three Dural lines

  • Stainless steel tube — ASTM A213 / A269, grades TP316 and TP316L, 4–60 mm OD, 6 m lengths.
  • Stainless steel pipe — ASTM A312 in dual grade SS316/316L; seamless, straight-seam welded and cold-worked, for high temperature and general corrosive service.
  • Hydraulic steel tube — DIN 2391/C (EN 10305-1) or DIN 2445/2 (EN 10305-4), in E355 (ST52.4) or E235 (ST37.4).

Choosing between the lines

  • Tube vs pipe — tube is sized by OD × wall; pipe by nominal bore × schedule. They are not interchangeable.
  • Stainless vs hydraulic steel — stainless for corrosion, hydraulic steel tube for pressure.
  • 316 vs 316L — 316L is the low-carbon variant, usually specified where the joint will be welded.
  • E355 vs E235 — pick on working pressure, then confirm the wall thickness for your size.

Products

What we stock from Dural

Stainless Steel Tubes

ASTM A213 / A269 · TP316 & TP316L · 4–60 mm OD — instrument lines, sensor lines and general corrosion-resisting service.

Stainless Steel Pipes

ASTM A312 in dual grade SS316/316L — seamless and welded, for high temperature and general corrosive service.

Hydraulic Steel Tubes

DIN 2391/C & DIN 2445/2 · E355 / E235 · cold drawn seamless — the tight OD tolerance a compression fitting needs to seal at the ferrule.

How to orderFormat
TubeOD × wall thickness, grade, standard and quantity — for example: 12 mm × 1.5 mm, TP316L, A269, 24 lengths.
PipeNominal bore × schedule, grade and standard — for example: 2″ Sch 40S, 316/316L, A312.
Hydraulic tubeOD × wall, grade E235 or E355, and the working pressure — we confirm the wall against the pressure before anything ships.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Am I buying tube or pipe?

If your drawing gives an outer diameter and a wall thickness (say 12 × 1.5 mm), it is tube. If it gives a nominal bore and a schedule (say 2″ Sch 40S), it is pipe. They are not interchangeable.

What is the difference between 316 and 316L?

Carbon. 316L is the low-carbon variant, specified where the joint will be welded — lower carbon resists sensitisation at the weld.

What does “marked along the length” actually give me?

Traceability that survives cutting. The OD, wall, grade, standard, heat number and maker repeat along the tube, so a class surveyor or your QA can read the heat number off an offcut — no hunting for a bundle tag.

E235 or E355 for hydraulic tube?

Pick on working pressure: E355 (ST52.4) is the stronger grade, E235 (ST37.4) the standard one. Send the working pressure and we confirm the wall for your size — details on the hydraulic steel tubes page.

Seamless or welded?

It depends on the line, and the standard on the marking tells you: ASTM A213 is a seamless specification; A269 covers both seamless and welded; A312 pipe comes seamless or straight-seam welded; DIN 2391/2445 hydraulic steel tube is cold drawn seamless.

Can I substitute A269 tube where A213 is specified?

Not on your own authority — if a specification names A213, the tube must be certified to A213, because that is the boiler and heat-exchanger specification with its own test requirements. The standard is what fixes the tolerances and the testing, not just the size.

Can I get mill certificates (MTC)?

Yes — ask on the enquiry. The heat number marked on the length is what ties the steel to its certificate.

Are Dural products in stock for Indonesia?

Yes — the standard length is 6 metres, held as ready stock in our regional warehouses in Singapore and Malaysia. Goods leave the warehouse within 24 hours of your PO, with the delivery schedule to your city confirmed in the quotation.

How do I get a price?

Send the specification in the format from the table above via WhatsApp ★ Google reviews ▶ YouTube channel or the contact form — a quote comes back within 2 working hours with price, stock position and delivery schedule.
